Must Stop Smoking Now Or You Will Be Doomed To Suffer
I am sure you are aware of the health problems you will be facing as a result of long term smoking. Smoking cigarettes for a long time leads to breathing problems such as COPD and cancer. Knowing this should be enough to make you quit smoking.
Why is it so tough to stop smoking?
When habits are created, they are not easy to stop especially when we are addicted to something. When our body consumes something that is addictive for long periods and abruptly stops getting the substance, the body responds by acting funny or feels dismal. That distressing feeling returns to normal when it gets what it desires or when it has become habituated to not receiving it after a period of time.
Here is a weird but little example that will make sense.
We all wear underwear and if we get dressed without wearing one, our body becomes uncomfortable. That is because the body has become used to having it there. By having the uncomfortable emotion, the organism is telling us that something is missing and it wants it back. What do we do? We finally give up and put the underwear back on and then we feel improved. Addictions are like that but much, much worse.
Have you seen a person who has end stage COPD? If you have not seen one, you should be introduced to one because it may assist you quit. A person who has end stage COPD is short of breath all the time (worse some times than others), is on oxygen most of the time if not all the time, and coughs a lot phlegm. Their skin is brittle and thin with scattered bruises most noticeable on the arms. The very reason why their skin is frail is attributed to the chronic use of steroids and every little bump will lead to bruising.
If you don’t know anyone who has COPD you can find somebody at a nursing home or a Hospital. I know this may be hard to do but if you truly want to find out what the future holds for you, you have the chance to change it by seeing it yourself first hand.
I have met a lot of individuals with COPD and believe me, it is torment for them. What do I mean by that? Here is what I would like you to do. Go jogging for a few minutes; only if are able to tolerate it. When you stop, you will be short of breath. Well, that’s what you will be experiencing at rest each single minute for the rest of your days when you get older and end up with COPD.
The time to quit smoking is at this instant. Not later. Right away! Please look for more information about COPD and learn about what you will be suffering from if you do not quit smoking now. Go see your Doctor or somebody that can help you quit. Do it for yourself and your family who loves you very much.
