Stop Postponing Your Chance To Drop Some Pounds Until New Year’s Day

You know it is about time to do something about your weight loss so why not start now? People seem to need a starting point to motivate us. For example, we will start on New Year’s Day or after any holiday or what ever. But the more you put it off the more difficult it will be to get it off. How about getting started right now.

It is very easy to wait on something like starting a diet and exercise program. When you are not fit you end up feeling exhausted fast. You want to believe that it is because you are getting old but it is not all the simple. There are people out there must older than you who are marathon runners each year so that is not the case. Being overweight can make you feel like an elderly person and you can’t think of a way of feeling young again than being able to keep up with people younger than you. You do not want to delay that feeling.

There are plenty of advantages for getting a head start on your weight loss goals. If you keep procrastinating then you will always find excuses for not developing an exercise and weight loss program. Plus, if you begin today you will get pass the dreaded two week period when most people give up. Creating a date to start will only make you count down the days until you have to make that change. You may end up not looking forward to it by the time the countdown is over.

Getting a firm grip on reality will help you get motivated. Once your brain is set on this you will be unstoppable. And once you get to the point that you are getting fit then you will be even more motivated to keep going. Waiting will only drive you to delay until you end up having no choice but to do it. Like when you end up on doctor’s orders.

Give yourself a target point to reach. Let’s say 20 to 30 pounds from what you currently weigh. But do not set a time table to finish like four to eight weeks. Your diet and exerise program will end once you get to your desired weight. But once you acheived your mission you still will not be done. You must keep some type of blueprint set in motion to maintain your new weight so you will not become overweight in the future. This is the one thing most people leave off that causes them to think that their diet plan did not work. A diet is only designed to get the weight off not keep it off. With a moderate workout and a change in your eating habits will help you maintain your weight.

So now today is the day. Not later or next year. Decide that you want to drop that weight now so you will not end up just delaying for later. This will be the best decision you ever made.
