Does Conversational Hypnosis Really Work?

Conversational hypnosis, sometimes referred to as covert hypnosis is a method that one can use to take command of another person through the course of a normal discussion by way of the subconscious. This form of hypnosis does not require the subject to go into a darkened room, lay on a couch, or stare at a swinging pendant. Actually, this kind of hypnosis is very common.

The extreme examples of utter control over a subject that we see in movies and on TV isn’t representative of hypnosis. With the use of conversational hypnosis, someone can continue on in their normal conversation as the hypnotist subconsciously instructs them how to move, or to place their hands.

While the common message in the entertainment world is that the subject is under the control of the hypnotist on stage, in the real world it’s not possible for anyone to have power over a person’s free will.

The same applies to those who believe you can be hypnotized to do someone else’s evil bidding. We can’t ever have our beliefs overridden by anyone else, subconsciously or otherwise. These are rules ingrained into our minds, and they cannot be controlled.

Anyone can learn hypnosis to betteer their life! Once you learn more about conversational hypnosis, you will be able to recognize when the many people that surround you every day are actually in hypnotic states at various times. This condition occurs in cases where we become so relaxed that the subconscious takes over and performs the task at hand. For example, you may recall beginning a task and knowing how it ended, while you cannot remember the middle steps.

Ultimately, conversational hypnosis is never a way to try and force anyone else into doing what you want, as it simply doesn’t function in that manner.
